No known L1 speakers. The last speakers completely shifted to Ambon Malay [abs] by 1999 (Van Engelenhoven 2003).

Maluku province: 4 villages on central and south central Seram island.

Other Comments

Government moved them from Teun Island, south central Maluku, due to volcanic activity on their island in 1978 (Florey 2005).
